From another project, I have a good supply of surplus pillow-cases, which I often make into Morsbags.
1. Take a pillow case and cut off a 5 inch piece off the open end (left, below), and then a 4 inch piece. Discard the 5 inch piece.
3. Press both pieces:
4. Press in half, then open and press edge to near centre:
7. Sew down the edge of the handle and back up the other side: (repeat steps 4-7 for the second handle)
8. On the main pillowcase piece, press down approx 1cm:
9. Fold over again and press down about 4-5 cms
10. Find middle of pillow case.
11. Push ends of handle into the seam, position each handle 2.5 inches either side of the middle and pin.
11. Sew round entire bag, securing the handles in the seam too.
12. Bend the handles back:
13. Sew the handles down so they are secured. I do forward-reverse-forward on the short sides for strength, and just forward on the longer sides.
14. If you have a label, sew it on with a zig-zag stitch:
15. Bag complete!
